Testing task: Navigate backwards into a radio group where no radio buttons are checked

Describe how VoiceOver for macOS behaves when performing task "Starting at the 'Navigate backwards from here' link, navigate backwards into the 'Pizza crust' radio group."

Test instructions

1. Restore default settings for VoiceOver for macOS. For help, read Configuring Screen Readers for Testing.
2. Activate the "Open test page" button below, which opens the example to test in a new window and runs a script that sets focus on a link after the radio group.
3. Press Control+Option+q. If VoiceOver said 'single quick key nav off', press Control+Option+q again to turn it back on.
4. Starting at the 'Navigate backwards from here' link, navigate backwards into the 'Pizza crust' radio group.
5. Using the following commands, Starting at the 'Navigate backwards from here' link, navigate backwards into the 'Pizza crust' radio group.
   • Control+Option+Left Arrow then Control+Option+Left Arrow
   • Shift+Tab
   • Shift+j (single quick key nav on)

Success Criteria

To pass this test, VoiceOver for macOS needs to meet all the following assertions when each specified command is executed:

1. Role 'group' is conveyed
2. Name of the group, 'Pizza Crust', is conveyed
3. Role 'radio button' is conveyed
4. Name of the radio button, 'Thin crust', is conveyed
5. Name of the radio button, 'Regular crust', is conveyed
6. State of the radio button, 'unchecked', is conveyed
7. Position of the radio button, 3, is conveyed
8. Position of the radio button, 1, is conveyed
9. Number of radio buttons in the group, 3, is conveyed
10. Screen reader switched from reading mode to interaction mode
