Testing task: Navigate out of the end of a radio group

With JAWS in PC cursor active mode, describe how JAWS behaves when performing task "Starting at the 'Thin crust' radio button, navigate to the 'Navigate backwards from here' link."

Test instructions

  1. Restore default settings for JAWS. For help, read Configuring Screen Readers for Testing.
  2. Activate the "Open test page" button below, which opens the example to test in a new window and runs a script that sets focus on the third radio button.
  3. Press Alt+Delete to determine which cursor is active. If the virtual cursor is active, press Insert+z to disable the virtual cursor.
  4. Starting at the 'Thin crust' radio button, navigate to the 'Navigate backwards from here' link.
  5. Using the following commands, Starting at the 'Thin crust' radio button, navigate to the 'Navigate backwards from here' link.
    • u (virtual cursor active)
    • Down Arrow then Down Arrow (virtual cursor active)
    • Tab (virtual cursor active)
    • Tab (PC cursor active)

Success Criteria

To pass this test, JAWS needs to meet all the following assertions when each specified command is executed:

  1. Role 'link' is conveyed
  2. Name of the link, 'Navigate backwards from here', is conveyed
  3. Group boundary is conveyed
