Testing task: Navigate forwards to an unchecked radio button within a radio group

Describe how VoiceOver for macOS behaves when performing task "Starting at the 'Regular crust' radio button, navigate to the 'Deep dish' radio button."

Test instructions

  1. Restore default settings for VoiceOver for macOS. For help, read Configuring Screen Readers for Testing.
  2. Activate the "Open test page" button below, which opens the example to test in a new window and runs a script that sets focus on the first radio button.
  3. Press Control+Option+q. If VoiceOver said 'single quick key nav off', press Control+Option+q again to turn it back on.
  4. Starting at the 'Regular crust' radio button, navigate to the 'Deep dish' radio button.
  5. Using the following commands, Starting at the 'Regular crust' radio button, navigate to the 'Deep dish' radio button.
    • Control+Option+Right Arrow
    • j (single quick key nav on)

Success Criteria

To pass this test, VoiceOver for macOS needs to meet all the following assertions when each specified command is executed:

  1. Role 'radio button' is conveyed
  2. Name of the radio button, 'Deep dish', is conveyed
  3. State of the radio button, 'unchecked', is conveyed
  4. Position of the radio button, 2, is conveyed
  5. Number of radio buttons in the group, 3, is conveyed
