Testing task: Check the next radio button in a radio group by navigating to it

Describe how VoiceOver for macOS behaves when performing task "Starting at the 'Thin crust' radio button, navigate to the 'Regular crust' radio button."

Test instructions

  1. Restore default settings for VoiceOver for macOS. For help, read Configuring Screen Readers for Testing.
  2. Activate the "Open test page" button below, which opens the example to test in a new window and runs a script that sets focus on the third radio button.
  3. Simultaneously press Left Arrow and Right Arrow. If VoiceOver said 'arrow quick key nav on', press Left Arrow and Right Arrow again to turn it back off.
  4. Starting at the 'Thin crust' radio button, navigate to the 'Regular crust' radio button.
  5. Using the following commands, Starting at the 'Thin crust' radio button, navigate to the 'Regular crust' radio button.
    • Down Arrow (arrow quick key nav off)
    • Right Arrow (arrow quick key nav off)

Success Criteria

To pass this test, VoiceOver for macOS needs to meet all the following assertions when each specified command is executed:

  1. Role 'radio button' is conveyed
  2. Name of the radio button, 'Regular crust', is conveyed
  3. State of the radio button, 'checked', is conveyed
  4. Position of the radio button, 1, is conveyed
  5. Number of radio buttons in the group, 3, is conveyed
